They’re great for sticking on walls to capture meeting notes, sketch out projects or record brilliant ideas. I bring them to client meetings and have them all over my office. No more worrying about tape marks on the paint!

I know you’re shocked at how low tech this is, given my love of technology and gadgets, but here’s the deal: sometimes, you just have to write things down.

At first, I tried to keep everything in one spiral notebook, but I would spend hours going back through pages and pages of notes to find what I was looking for. Now, for only 50 cents each, I have a stack of Staples 1-subject notebooks and I use one for each client.

They’re even color coded and, by keeping all my notes from each project together, I save time and frustration. When the project is finished, I tear out the sheets I’ve used, staple them together, and use the rest of the notebook for the next project.
